Our Board of Directors keeps Children’s House LA grounded and growing—helping us stay true to our vision and mission while serving right alongside us. They bring wisdom, accountability, and hands-on heart to every part of what we do.
Janette Nguyen serves as Chairwoman of the Children’s House LA Board of Directors and is an Office Manager for Carl Jackson Pools. A wife and mother of three, her children have been part of CHLA since her youngest was just four months old. She is also a lifetime member and Gold Award recipient in Girl Scouts, where she serves on the Gold Award Board and mentors young women pursuing the award. Janette became involved with CHLA because she believes in a collaborative approach to education—one that embraces the whole child and the family together in order to help each child reach their full potential.
Carly Mischke serves as Vice Chair and Secretary of the Children’s House LA Board of Directors. She is the Associate Vice President of Facility Operations and Campus Planning at Point Loma Nazarene University, with over a decade of leadership experience in operations, planning, and construction from her tenure at Pepperdine University. Carly first discovered Montessori when choosing a daycare for her own children, and she joined CHLA out of a passion for Montessori education and a desire to support a model that integrates parent and community education. She believes CHLA offers a dignifying alternative to conventional education and provides families with meaningful support on their journey.
Sandi Quitiquit serves as Treasurer of the Children’s House LA Board of Directors and is a customer experience professional with leadership roles across hospitality, retail, and lifestyle brands, including Legends and Outerknown. She is also a dedicated mother of two, Emmie and Finn, and finds joy in family adventures outdoors and rock climbing. Motivated by a deep commitment to community, Sandi joined CHLA to support its mission of creating a faith-based, Montessori-inspired environment where children and families are nurtured. She believes in the power of collective efforts to bring meaningful change and is honored to contribute her skills in service of this vision.
Evette Williams is the Payroll & Benefits Coordinator at Beverly Hills Porsche, with over a decade of experience in payroll systems, compliance, and financial management. She is deeply committed to fostering an environment that values each child’s unique gifts and potential, and is honored to support Children’s House LA’s faith-based, Montessori-inspired mission. For Evette, true learning flourishes when children are encouraged to grow at their own pace and when parents are engaged alongside them—helping to create a community where both children and families feel valued, supported, and inspired to thrive together.
Natalie Speech serves on the Children’s House LA Board of Directors and brings extensive leadership experience from her career in media production, nonprofit management, and public speaking. She is Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Black Entertainment Museum Foundation, a longtime professional with NBCUniversal, and has served as President of Toastmasters International District 52. Natalie is committed to supporting an organization that nurtures each child’s full potential through a faith-based, Montessori-inspired, and inclusive learning environment. She believes that by empowering both children and families, CHLA enriches individual lives while strengthening the broader San Fernando Valley community.
